ROAST WARS: Craft vs. Sludge is a tug-of-war lane strategy game. Your wooden street cart, CRAFT HQ, holds the left side of the sidewalk. INSTA-SLUDGE, a gray instant-coffee factory with a smokestack, holds the right. Both bases have big HP bars and roof-mounted turrets. Send coffee-themed troops down the lane and knock out the factory before it brews you into oblivion.
Earn Beans passively to spawn four unit types, each with its own role and cost: the Paper Cup brawler, the Sugar Cube Slinger shooter, a sturdy bean-sack style tank, and a long-range Mortar. When things get heated, you can trigger three big abilities: Ice Cube Avalanche, Double-Shot Overdrive, and Crema Shield. Collect Roast XP to evolve through 4 eras, starting with the humble Street Cart.
Upgrade your base range during a match to push the turret's dashed range line further out and add splash damage. Switch between 1X, 2X, and 3X game speed whenever you like, and spend your Stars in the Upgrade Tree. You can pick a battlefield from the Maps menu, beginning with Map 1: Morning Rush Sidewalk.
The game has full keyboard shortcuts: 1-4 to spawn units, Q W E for abilities, V to evolve, R to upgrade range, and Space to pause.
