About
Merchant & Knight is a pixel-art strategy game set in a medieval valley of thatched cottages, a windmill, a market stall, a winding river, and pine forests where armored riders and camp tents wait. As the title screen puts it: by day you are the merchant, at dusk, the knight.
Play through three seasonal scenarios, each with a single clear goal:
- Spring: The Hungry Garrison - "Feed the garrison before night."
- Summer: The Bridge - "Hold this bridge with twelve pikes."
- Autumn: Wine Through the Pass - "Get the wine cart through the pass."
Win any scenario to unlock Skirmish Valley, a free play mode.
Your army comes in four squads: Oak Axes, Red Pikes, Green Bows, and Swift Scouts. Each one keeps a running count of its veterans and battles fought, so the men you bring through one scenario carry their record into the next. New to it? A How to Play guide is available right from the main menu.
