Be the first to say what you think.
CHAIN & SEAL is a turn-based tactical battler. You play The Wanderer, a hooded swordsman, facing a front-line Gravel Brute (28 HP) and a back-line Lantern Wisp (18 HP). The screen shows each enemy's next attack, 9 and 5, plus a running total of the damage you will take, so you can plan around it.
Each turn you tap 1-2 actions, then optionally add a Seal to finish the chain. Actions in the frame include Sunblade (7 damage to the front enemy), Dusk Cut (4 damage to the front enemy, plus a mark), Hexshot (3 damage to any target, 2 marks, costs 1 charge) and Shade Reload (gain 1 charge and a 2-point ward). Seal of Ruin needs two Dusk-type actions and pays off based on the marks you have placed.
You manage a 50 HP health bar, a shield and a limited set of charges. If a turn doesn't suit your plan, you can skip it. The art is a clean cartoon style in dusky purples, with glowing highlights on the heroes and foes.
