About

Tactical Cowboy is a free-to-play Wild West team PVP/PVM tactical shooter with some arcade shooter elements. Inspired by Ground Branch and Ready or Not, with some elements of Counter-Strike and Call of Duty. It has historically accurate weapons from 1896 including some anomalies, like the Hunting Bow, moccasins, and the LeMat civil war revolver.

Damage is brutal to make you feel more like you are in a real life Wild West battle. Combat balance stats have been attempted to be maximized with Grok Expert AI. Every thing in the loadout has pros and cons, though moccasins are more of a risky stunt, and choosing fists on purpose is for people who want to be silly. Bots are using 5 randomly selected "chance to act percentage range layers" for various actions to offer more combat realism while respecting different difficulty options for maximum fun. Choose between four different riders on The Law or the Bandits. Best of 8 rounds wins a match.

Pick a name, hit Ride Solo or Ride Together, and play from a first-person view:

  • WASD to move and the mouse to look.
  • Right mouse button to aim down sights and left mouse button to fire.
  • R to reload.
  • 1 to switch to Primary Weapon.
  • 2 to switch to Secondary Weapon.
  • 3 to switch to Equipped Tool or Fist.
  • Shift to run, but running is loud.
  • Z to hold crouch or C to toggle it. You can crouch run.
  • Tab to check the scores.
  • Left ALT (Hold) + WASD to free lean in a direction for peak aiming.
  • G for dropping a gun or tool.
  • E to pick up a dropped gun or tool, as a use key, or for taking over a teammate bot you are spectating when allowed by the current game.
  • Space to vault.
  • CTRL for menu.
