About

Shuffle: Beat of the Damned opens on a neon synthwave highway at night, lined with glowing billboards of palm trees, headphone-wearing silhouettes and a towering guitarist. At the end of the road waits a giant classic music player, its screen glaring with angry pink eyes, cable tendrils spreading from its sides and a pair of white earbuds dangling overhead.

The story starts with a flashback captioned You, 2004: you loved your iPod. Thousands of songs, one click wheel and earbuds that never left your ears. Now that devotion has come back to haunt you. Step into the shoes of a spiky-haired hero in headphones, glowing energy at the ready, and walk the tiled path toward the machine that once played your whole life.

Story scenes advance at your own pace with Next, or you can hit Skip and get straight to the music. Expect spinning vinyl, floating music notes, shimmering light pillars and a nostalgic, slightly sinister love letter to the click-wheel era.
