Whoa, you're awake! You've been zapped inside your computer, and the only way out is through it. Your guide is BYTE, a friendly repair bot who explains what happened and helps you get your bearings in a glowing world of circuits and hardware.
The adventure starts in the Power Supply Bay, Section 1 of 5. Towering capacitors line the floor, a giant cooling fan blazes with orange light, and a rainbow bundle of cables arcs overhead. Ahead stands the door to the Cooling Zone, locked and showing NO POWER. A sign nearby gives you the rule: the door needs 1 volt for every blue capacitor in the room. Look around carefully and count!
Explore in first person, read the clues hidden in the scenery, and collect items in your inventory slots as you work out each section's puzzle. Stuck? Tap the Hint button for a nudge. There are no monsters and no game over, just clues that sometimes need another look.
Built for curious players aged 10 to 12, Escape the Machine is playful and a little mysterious, never scary. It runs in your browser on desktop and phones.
