DEEPCORE: THE HIVE is a 2D pixel-art mining and base-defense game set inside an infected asteroid. You fly a small mining ship through underground caverns of brown rock and grey stone, carving out veins of glowing cyan crystal while your colony reactor hums at the center of the map.
Between attacks you get a preparation window: a countdown tells you when the next wave arrives, or you can press Enter to call it early. Use that time to mine ore with the right mouse button, then spend your Metal and Crystal on defenses with E. The HUD keeps track of your ship hull, reactor health, explosive charge, enemy count, and active Hive nodes.
The Hive is an alien virus that spreads and mutates. When the waves come, your job is simple and urgent: keep the reactor alive. Steer with thrust and momentum, aim with the mouse, and reshape the cave terrain to your advantage.
