About Thornmere

Thornmere is a paid RPG made with AI by @evan_skullmaster, and it plays right here in your browser.

The Ash-Tithe

Every harvest, the border village of Thornmere pays its protection to the reavers of the weald — and every harvest the price climbs. Folk are going hungry. Reeve Corbin counts the chest behind a locked door and answers questions with questions. Something in the ledger doesn't add up, and you're the only stranger in town with a sword and no reason to stay quiet.

Choices that bite

Talk your way through taverns, town halls, wellsides and a hidden grotto — every conversation shifts your Mercy, Cunning, and Resolve, and the paths open or close behind your answers. Spare a wounded reaver or press him. Expose the Reeve in his own hall, blackmail him for a cut, or show him the one mercy he never offered anyone. Side quests thread through the main tale: a missing grain cart, and a boy who wandered too far into the wood.

Short, sharp steel

When words run out, the weald settles things the old way — fast third-person sword fights in forest clearings: light and heavy strikes, dodges, and ambushers who don't fight fair.

  • Branching story with three endings — The Quiet Peace, Ashen Justice, or The Tithe Continues
  • A painted travel map for point-and-click journeys between the village, the grotto, and the old oak
  • A living hub tavern, a gossip at the well, and a captain worth meeting
  • Full dusk-lit fantasy atmosphere: hearth fires, rain-washed stone, and an original folk score
