Sand and Iron puts you in first person on the arena floor of a grand imperial coliseum. Marble tiers packed with spectators rise on every side, crimson banners bearing a golden eagle hang from the walls, and great canvas awnings stretch overhead against a blazing sun.
You fight as the Champion, carrying a round shield on one arm and a blade in the other hand, with a small supply of throwing spears for striking at range. Keep an eye on your health and stamina bars, because the arena does not forgive careless swings.
The match is built around ten escalating waves. The HUD tracks the current wave and how many foes remain, so you always know how close you are to clearing the sand. Every fight counts toward your Glory, and a Crowd Favor meter shows how well you are playing to the stands.
Detailed, realistic 3D and a harsh, sunlit arena give it the feel of a gritty blood sport. Clear the wave, catch your breath, and get ready for the next one.
