About THE THAW
THE THAW is a free strategy game made with AI by @maxify, and you can play it right here in your browser.
THE THAW: Daily Case File drops you into an Arctic research station just after a shift has ended. One crew member, Yuki, has been found frozen in the Core Vault, and one of the remaining seven is secretly Thawed. Frost depth narrows the time of the freezing to a short window, and it is up to you to work out who was really there.
Each suspect has a personality: nervous, logical, loud, or quiet observer. Each one gives statements about where they were and who they saw. Type questions to any crew member in plain language, such as "Bjorn, where were you at 0:40?" You have 15 questions to pull their stories apart.
The key tool is the door sensor log, a timeline that sets what the sensors actually recorded against what each crew member claims, room by room: Hallway, Generator, Dorms, Radio, Vault, Greenhouse, and Lab. Shaded columns mark when the victim froze. Spot where a claim and the log disagree, and look for alibis that do not hold up.
When you are confident, hit Accuse. You get one shot, so make it count. A new case file arrives each day.
