Ten chambers of the underworld stand between you and daylight. In Styxborn you play a hooded, sword-wielding figure beneath the earth, clawing toward the surface in a 2D top-down action roguelike. The gods are watching, and they have gifts to offer along the way.
Combat is real-time and built around a compact move set: move with WASD, dash with Space, strike with the left mouse button or J, spin with the right mouse button or K, and cast a shard with Q. Press E to interact and Esc to pause. You collect Ash as you go, and the title screen offers a second path beside the call to Rise: the Mirror of Ash.
The underworld is drawn in deep plum stone and blood-red light: cracked flagstone floors, fluted pillars crowned with burning braziers, drifting embers, and a faint ritual circle etched into the ground. The game runs in the browser on plain HTML5 Canvas and Web Audio, with no dependencies.
