Before you clock in, stitch your name onto your coveralls, pick a coverall color, and choose a silly hat: trucker cap, propeller, cowboy, hard hat, traffic cone, or top hat. Then it's first-person work on the shop floor, with cars up on the lift and a tool kit at your fingertips.

Hold the left mouse button to use a tool, swap between four tool slots with 1-4, and grab parts with the right mouse button (press again to throw them). Press E to interact or hop in and drive, Q to drop what you're holding, and F to honk or flip on the flashlight. Sprint with Shift and jump with Space when the pressure is on.
