DEAD PANEL is a first-person industrial disaster game set in the control room of RIG-9, an aging crane rig overseen by a corporate AI that has its own ideas about priorities.
Your contract, The Lift, has you moving 4 containers from the ship onto the dock pads within 6 minutes. An optional HAZMAT container pays a bonus, if you dare. The catch: the generator only makes 7 units of power. The crane wants 4, cooling wants 3, and the stabilisers want 2. Re-patch the cables by hand to decide who gets what. Overheat, overload, or swing cargo into things and it all falls apart.
Then there's P.A.M., the facility AI, which controls every system its red link cables are plugged into. Unplug a link to take manual control and stop its sabotage, but you lose its automation in the process. Every choice trades one problem for another.
Walk, sprint and crouch through the rig, grab and use controls, hold to work cranks and pumps, and use your flashlight and ping to keep track of what's going on. Each shift has its own seed, and your career tracks completed contracts and money earned.
