Days are your lifeblood and pounds are your fuel, and the clock never stops at 80.

The People

Every city is a walkable little 1870s postcard with three locals to meet. Stationmasters sell express timetables that shave whole days, captains offer extra coal and calmer seas, merchants know the unmarked routes, and a relentless Detective Fix is convinced you're a thief — keep your heat down, bribe him, or lose precious days to his warrants. Rescue a certain someone in India and she may repay the favor at your darkest hour.

The Wager
