Deep beneath an abandoned facility, the Memory Trail records every step, every switch, every burden you push. Press R to keep a moment — your path, your gait, the machines you touched. Press F, and that moment steps back into the world as an Echo: a translucent ghost of your past self that walks as you walked and presses what you pressed.
You are one person. Your memories are an orchestra.
Sealed doors demand agreement — two switches sounded together, a weight held while a lever falls, three pylons struck as one chord. Alone, you can never be in two places. With your Echoes, you can. Push a crate through a gap your body cannot fit, record the push, and let the echo finish the work while you move on.
But the world is watching what you leave behind. Wardens cannot see you — they see your Echoes, glowing like candles in the dark. Every ghost you set walking is a bet: more hands for the puzzle, more light for the hunter.
They stop where you never stopped. They look at things you never saw. One of them, near the end, will do something you never recorded at all.
The Core at the bottom of the facility has been studying you since you arrived. There is one lesson left, and it will take it from your Echo — the way you took everything else.
