Mutaword

Mutaword is a five-letter word game with a twist that rewrites the rules mid-puzzle.

You know the drill: guess the hidden word, get green, amber and grey clues, and close in row by row. But every time a single guess lands exactly two greens, the secret word silently mutates — swapping one letter to become a brand-new valid word. The clues you just earned may no longer point where you think.

You can't grind toward one fixed answer. You have to read the board, sense when the ground has shifted, and adapt your strategy on the fly. A running mutations counter tracks how many times the target has slipped away from you — solving a word that mutated four times is a very different brag than solving a clean one.
