Kelbrooksyn eats certainty. You are a paranoid mage, lost at night in a forest that rearranges itself when you blink. You carry two things: a very bright lantern, and an old staff that knows exactly two spells.
The lantern is the cruelest comfort in the game. Its light pushes the doubt back — the whispers fade, your hands look like your hands again. But every Elvackasaur in Kelbrooksyn sees that light from far across the fog, and they come. Snuff the lantern and the beasts lose you... while your own mind starts asking whether you were ever here at all. Let the doubt finish its question and you simply stop being real.
You have two spells, and they are not the same. Fireball summons an ethereal orb of flame that burns a beast to ash — loud, bright, and every growl in earshot now knows where you stand. Void Banishment is quieter and far worse: it opens a hole under the creature and removes it from this reality entirely. No corpse, no revenge, no evidence it ever lived. It needs long moments to recharge, so spend it like the treasure it is.
Follow the waystones. The six glowing stones between the clearing and the Eldritch Temple calm your thoughts and mend your body — small islands of certainty in the fog. Behind them the Hollow Gate. Beyond it, the Temple, where the light never goes out and your paranoia and self-doubt vanish forever. The forest knows a different version of you is already walking this path. Reach the Temple before it becomes true.
