Small Changes is a narrative browser game set in a London office. It opens on a grey late-September morning, with the Gherkin and the Shard blurred behind a wall of windows and a row of identical monitors.
You play Nick Hale: twenty-four, five foot eight, and pretty in a way he has spent his whole life pretending not to notice. He starts out in a navy quarter-zip, beige chinos and brown shoes, the uniform of someone trying hard not to stand out.
The story unfolds through narration and dialogue boxes in a soft illustrated style with a muted office palette. As the title suggests, it is a slow-burn, slice-of-life tale about how a person can drift, one ordinary day at a time.
