Out Again is a top-down pixel art story game that opens on the steps of County Jail. Benjamin Carter has just been released, and the officer at the door, Kowalski, makes sure he knows it: third time walking out these doors.
Chapter 1 drops you onto the street outside the jail, a chunky 8-bit city block of asphalt, crosswalks and sidewalks where pedestrians go about their day. Conversations play out in comic-style speech bubbles framed by large pixel portraits of each character, and you advance the dialogue at your own pace with Enter.
This is a grounded, character-driven start to a story about getting out and trying to stay out. Meet the people waiting on the other side of those doors and see where Carter's next steps take him.
