You are standing in a fortune you cannot see.
Jonni's city is concrete and grey. Nothing in it will change. You are the thing that changes.
Hold your Insight and look again — and the air fills with wealth that was there the entire time. Claim it. Spend it at the shrines. Every augment you take permanently rewrites what your eyes are capable of registering, and the deepest, richest layer of all has been standing beside you since the moment you spawned.
The city blooms as you do
There is no progress bar that matters more than the world itself. As you augment, the grey drains out of the city and gold floods in — the sky warms, the streetlamps turn amber, the concrete starts to glow. Beauty is the scoreboard. You can see exactly how far you've come by looking at the horizon.
Doubt comes for what you've earned
The moment you start to see, something starts hunting you. Doubt Wraiths move faster when your Insight is up, take a slice of everything you've claimed, and vanish with it. Turn and hit them with a Conviction Pulse and they break into light — and pay you for the trouble.
Then you climb
Six augments. Six shrines scattered across the district. Each one opens another tier of the Ascension Spire's floating platforms. Take all six and the summit finally accepts you.
The city never changed. You did.
