Ashen Vigil is a 2D dark fantasy boss fight set inside a dim cathedral. Stained glass windows glow in cold blues and violets, candles flicker at the altar, and a red banner bearing a gold cross hangs over the arena. You play a lone armored knight with a red cape and a drawn sword, facing a towering guardian clad in spiked plate.
Your goal is simple and unforgiving: defeat the guardian within five minutes. Read its tells, roll through the blow, and strike while it recovers. Every exchange is a test of patience and timing.
Controls stay simple. Move with A / D or the arrow keys, attack with J or left click, and dodge roll with Space or K. Gamepad is supported too: use the stick to move, X to attack, and A to dodge roll.
Crisp original pixel art and moody, atmospheric lighting give the fight a quiet, reverent dread. One knight, one guardian, one vigil.
