The Hollow City is a settlement simulation set in a dim, cavernous underworld. You begin with a handful of settlers at ground level: a small tent, a few crates of supplies, a glass-walled structure, and a scattering of giant pale mushrooms rising out of the dark earth.
The world is shown as a side-on cross-section, with layers of soil and stone stretching below the surface and vast shadowy shapes looming in the cavern above. Tiny settlers move about the camp while faint motes drift through the gloom, giving the deep a quiet, watchful atmosphere.
Controls are simple: drag to pan across the cavern, scroll to zoom in on your settlers, and press Space to pause. Start a new settlement from the title screen and see what grows in the hollow.
