About Nexus One

Nexus One is a free tower defense game made with AI by @james622, and you can play it right here in your browser.

Nexus One is a minimalist infinite tower defense played in pure neon void. One tower. One life. Endless geometric hostiles streaming in from every edge of the screen.

Hold the Center

Your Nexus Core sits at the heart of the battlefield and fires on its own — your job is evolution. Every kill feeds energy into the Core: spend it on ten repeatable upgrades, then unlock game-changing evolutions every few levels. Multi Shot, Chain Lightning, Orbital Blades, Nova Bursts, Homing Swarms, Beams — twenty stacking evolutions that deliberately break the game in your favour. Until the void breaks you.

Surrounded, Always

Enemies don't follow lanes. They pour in from everywhere — single sides, pincers, four-way crosses, spirals, mass swarms — and every 15th wave a Nexus Prime arrives: a colossal construct with shields, minions, regeneration and worse. Survive it for a massive energy payout.

Built for One Hand

Portrait or landscape, the battlefield reshapes itself instantly. Tap the Core to open the upgrade sheet, pause or accelerate time to 4x, and chase your best wave. Reactive synth layers build as the field fills — the soundtrack is the threat level.
