LITERAL LEGEND is a comedy puzzle game about a hero who does exactly what the signs say. You are his tutorial guide, and your only power is placing instruction signs like JUMP, GO LEFT, WAIT and DUCK. He auto-walks, obeys the nearest sign to the letter, and has exactly 1 HP. One badly worded or badly placed sign ends the run.
The setting is an unfinished game studio's test build. Grassy purple platforms sit against a backdrop of grey placeholder blocks, steel scaffolding and dangling dev props, with crates and traffic cones scattered around. Between the platforms there are gaps you really don't want him walking into. Your caped hero announces he is "READY TO OBEY!" next to a wooden GO RIGHT sign, and a counter in the corner keeps a running tally of heroes lost.
At its heart, it's prompt engineering as a game: precise instructions win, vague ones kill. Point and click or tap to place and edit signs, then watch him march off and follow them, cheerfully shouting lines like "SIGN SAYS JUMP. JUMPING." The art is bright and cartoonish with bold outlines. Play it in your browser on desktop or phone, choosing either PLAY or ROOMS from the title screen.
