About Grimhearth: The Night the Moon Sang

Grimhearth: The Night the Moon Sang is a free RPG made with AI by @64world, and you can play it right here in your browser.

Grimhearth: The Night the Moon Sang is an online pixel action RPG that looks like the coziest game you have ever seen, right up until you hit a slime and it bursts.

You were a child the night the Blood Moon sang. Now you have come to Brightmeadow with a training sword, a butcher knife and Biscuit, the family dog. The town is lovely. The flowers are lovely. The streets are only occasionally red.

Pick a class

Butcher, Hunter or Bloodmage. Every class uses sword, bow and blood magic. Your class sets your passive, your signature execution and your 15-node skill tree. Make your hero your own: skin, hair, eyes, bandana, and Biscuit's coat.

Fight like it matters

Three-hit combos launch enemies into the air. Keep slashing to juggle them. Dive-slam them into the ground. When they're on their last legs, execute them for bonus loot, or snare them instead.

Collect the pets

More than twenty pets in five rarities, from the Puffslime Pup to the Moonwolf. Snare weakened monsters, find the ones hiding in the world, and visit Victoria the Pet Whisperer. Feed them organs, put a collar on them, and let them fight for you.

You are not the only hunter

Other players walk the same town and the same fields. Wave, cheer, and challenge them. Pit your pets against theirs, or step into the Duel Pit outside the west gate: sword, bow and blood magic, same health for everyone, skill decides it. Out in the world, five rival hunters with pets you won't believe are waiting to test yours. And three more who don't talk. Not to us.

Level 16 skills

Butcher what you kill. Smith, cook, brew and craft from bones, hides and hearts. Hang the rare trophy heads in your lodge. Take Slayer tasks from Mistress Morrow.

Follow the threads

More than twenty quests, and every storyline ends at the same marsh. A mayor who sold you a house that wasn't his to sell. A taxidermist's rival who's been cheating for nine years. A woman in a bone mask counting heads. A dog who growled at a window once, and never again. Fight through Sunny Hollow, the Gutter Warrens and the Weeping Mire to the altar where the moon first sang.

Survive the Blood Moon

Every 40 minutes the sky turns red for everyone at once. Monsters turn elite, trophies drop five times as often, and a horde marches on the town. Four leaderboards track the fastest Warchief kill, the longest juggle, your total level and your best Blood Moon.

Chapter One of three

Levels 1 to 30, three regions, two bosses, and an ending. Chapters Two and Three raise the cap to 50, then 60.

Free, in your browser. Cloud saves, badges and leaderboards follow you between devices.

Grimhearth contains extreme cartoon gore: dismemberment, persistent blood, exploding bodies and organs used as crafting materials. Rated Mature 17+. A gore setting (Mild, Bloody, Gory, Extreme) is in the options from the first screen.
