About
Dust & Iron is a top-down wilderness survival game. You play a lone drifter standing at a dusty dirt crossroads, surrounded by dense pine forest, red berry bushes, and scattered grey rocks. With an axe in hand and only a few coins in your pocket, it's up to you to make it through the days ahead.
Keep an eye on three vital bars: Health, Hunger, and Warmth. A day-and-time clock tracks how long you have been out here, starting on Day 1 in the morning. Your first objective is simple but essential: chop wood for a campfire. A marker points you toward the treeline to get started.
An inventory bar along the bottom tracks your supplies and cash as you gather. Forage the berry bushes, harvest timber from the pines, and build up what you need to stay fed and warm.
The painterly, earthy art style sets a quiet, rugged tone for a story of self-reliance on the frontier.
