It's 1970 at Daytona International Speedway, the World Center of Racing. Daytona 500: 1970 is a top-down stock car racer in retro pixel art, set on a sweeping banked asphalt track lined with packed grandstands on one side and green infield on the other.
Pick your path from the title screen. Start Race Weekend takes you into Speedweeks, or choose Quick Race to drop straight into the 500, starting from 20th on the grid with traffic all around you.
The field is made up of numbered stock cars in period-style liveries, running nose to tail down the straightaway. Drive with the arrow keys or WASD, shift gears with Shift and Ctrl, and press Esc to pause. On touch devices, on-screen pedals put you behind the wheel.
Crisp pixel sprites, a colorful crowd and a classic bold title card give it the feel of a vintage racing broadcast.
