Chariots of the Colosseum

Chariots of the Colosseum puts you in charge of a racing team in a packed Roman arena. You start with 650 denarii and an empty stable, and you have to assemble everything yourself before you can take to the track.

Visit the town's specialists to build your team: wheels from the Wheelwright, a chariot car from the Carpenter, a harness from the Tack Shop, and a rider from the Barracks. Pick up horses at the Horse Market and tend them in the Stables, since you need two grown horses harnessed to race. The Dye Works sets your team colors, starting with the Reds.

Every purchase shapes your team ratings for Speed, Acceleration, Handling, Stamina, and Toughness. When you are ready, head to Races and drive it yourself: hold W to drive, steer with A/D, and crack the whip with SPACE on the straights. Hitting the walls damages your chariot, so steady hands matter as much as fast horses.
