Welcome to Whisker Cottage, a little cat shelter that's yours to run. You start on Day 1 of spring with three cats, Mochi, Pepper and Biscuit, four beds, a few coins and a modest stock of fish, supplies and medicine. Biscuit is already poorly, so your first job might be a dose of medicine.

Click a cat to pet it, play with it, brush it and give it treats. Keep the food bowls full and the litter boxes scooped with a simple click. Happy, healthy cats slowly learn to trust you, so aim to fill all ten hearts. When visitors drop by, match a trusting cat with a loving home, and head out on rescue trips to bring new cats into your spare beds.

Each day brings small goals, like giving treats, rescuing a cat and tidying messes or beds, with a bonus for finishing all three. Keep an eye on your shelter's cosiness and cleanliness, earn coins, then visit the Shop and Decorate menus to make the place your own. Expand the shelter, fill your Album, and close for the night whenever you're ready.

It's all mouse-driven, with adjustable game speed, toggleable music and sounds, and no rush, ever.
