Ashen Vigil is a dark fantasy action adventure rendered in a dithered, PS1-era low-poly style. You play The Cursed Knight, a lone cloaked figure seen from behind, walking a cobblestone street between towering brick walls lit by flickering wall torches. Ash and embers drift through the cold blue fog, and a gothic cathedral with glowing windows looms at the far end of the road.

The opening chapter, I · The Ashen Approach, sets a simple goal: cross the ruined streets and reach the far side of these fog-choked streets of a dead kingdom. Tattered red banners hang from the walls along the way.

The curse is your weapon and your burden. Curse Bolt (Q or right-click) costs 10 life, and Hex Burst (R) costs 20. Every cast drains the same red health bar that keeps you standing, so each use is a choice about how much of yourself to spend.
