About

A Serf's Life is a calm frontier sandbox colony sim set on a triangular land. Buildings stand on the points of the grid and roads run along its edges, so every village takes a shape of its own among the forests, river and grey boulders.

Place a building, then lay a road from it back to your Headquarters. Your serfs carry logs, planks, stone and food along those roads. Start with a Woodcutter, Forester, Sawmill, Quarry, Fisher and Cottage, and work toward the Farm, Windmill and Bakery. Food at the Headquarters lets new serfs join, Cottages give them room, and Guard Towers push your borders into new lands.

A list of village goals helps you get started: place a Woodcutter near the forest, connect it to your Headquarters, build a Sawmill to turn logs into planks and quarry stone from the boulders. A resource bar keeps track of your logs, planks, stone, fish, grain, flour and bread, along with your serf count.

Play at your own pace with pause and 1x, 2x or 4x speed. Drag or use WASD to move, scroll to zoom, rotate with Q and E, and use hotkeys for roads, demolishing and every building.
