Mat Kings is a wrestling game that opens on a start menu with a prompt to create your wrestler to begin. Five modes are listed: Quick Match, Tournament, College Career in folkstyle, World Career in freestyle, and My Wrestler.
Quick Match is a single bout where you pick your ruleset. Tournament offers 8, 16 or 32-man brackets with consolation. The College Career runs through Duals, Conference, Nationals and the Hodge Trophy. The World Career covers Continentals, World Team Trials and Worlds.
My Wrestler is where you set body type, weight class and archetype. The menu is a dark, text-driven screen with bold yellow and white lettering and one card per mode.
