Escape from Korea is a first-person stealth action-adventure set on a night of mass mobilization in a near-future Korea at war. You play a civilian who just received his call-up papers and has no intention of reporting. The story opens in Seoul's Mapo District, among dark brick buildings and shuttered storefronts, as soldiers sweep the streets for men to conscript.
Your first night is laid out as a chain of objectives: take the family photo from the table, talk to Ji-woo about whether the family comes with you, find Old Choi at the riverside warehouse, steal fake ID papers from a military post, then return to Choi and choose your escape route. Every step pushes you deeper into a city that wants to send you to the front.
You carry a rifle with limited ammunition, and a health bar and stamina meter keep every sprint and firefight costly. Sneak, run, crouch and hide when you can, and shoot only when you must. The tone is tense and desperate, but the choice to leave alone or with the people you love keeps a thread of hope alive.
