Dead Man’s Trail presents a Western frontier scene set in 1890. Beneath a clouded mountain skyline, a rider on horseback faces the broad dirt street of Mercy Crossing, a settlement in New Austin Territory.
Wooden storefronts, telegraph poles, scattered townspeople, and sparse scrub give the town a weathered feel. Muted earth tones and large cream-and-copper lettering frame an ominous welcome: “Mercy is a long way from here.”
The title screen offers New Game, Load Game, Settings, and a sound toggle, with arrow-key selection and Enter confirmation indicated.
