Powder & Steel is a 3D first-person shooter set in 1776, built around black powder and cold steel. Fight through a walled colonial village of shingled cottages, a stone well, wooden carts and a timber palisade.
Pick your mode from the main menu and hit Find Match:
- Team Deathmatch: 5 v 5, Continentals vs Redcoats, first team to 30 kills.
- Free-for-All: 8 soldiers, every man for himself, first to 15 kills.
Your musket rewards patience. Aim down the barrel with right click, fire with left click, then reload with R. Tap R in the gold zone to speed up each step of the reload. When the powder runs slow, switch to steel: a quick bayonet lunge on F, or swap between musket, Bowie knife and hatchet with 1, 2, 3 and Q.
Movement is fast and responsive, with sprint, crouch, slide and jump on Shift, C and Space. Check the scoreboard with Tab to see who rules the village.
