Ember Depths is a retro pixel-art dungeon crawler built for quick runs and hard-won victories. Three floors lie beneath the old keep — torch-lit stone, glowing fungal warrens, and a cracked obsidian sanctum — and each one ends with a guardian that wants you dead.
Explore every hand-built-feeling floor: rooms fill with wandering skeletons, dashing ghouls, arrow-slinging goblins and fire-hurling cultists. Swing your blade, dodge-roll through danger, and crack open chests stuffed with coins, hearts and rare orbs that permanently sharpen your sword, expand your vitality, or quicken your step. Find the floor key, unlock the guardian's door, and seal yourself in for the fight of the floor.
Every guardian fights differently — the Bone Colossus crushes and hurls skulls, the Fungal Horror floods the arena with poison and summons, and the Ember King fills the room with spiraling fireballs and punishing charges. Beat them all and the embers finally dim.
Procedurally laid-out floors mean no two descents are quite the same: treasure vaults, healing springs (15 coins a drink), spike plates, dart spouts and flame vents all reshuffle each run. A crisp chiptune soundtrack, flickering torchlight, and a minimap that fills in as you explore complete the descent.
