Step aboard the Berlin–Baghdad Express, where every promise is a document with two sides.
De Berlijn–Bagdad Express is a first-person narrative experience set aboard a first-class carriage of the Baghdad Railway as the old world slides toward catastrophe. You are not a player so much as a fellow traveller — the train moves, the golden light of Constantinople drifts past the windows, and a single telegram waits on the seat across from you.
In this opening chapter, Konstantinopel, 1898 — The Promise, you pick up the Kaiser's message to the Sultan, read it, and turn it over to find the meaning that was never written down. Around you, the voice of the spy and archaeologist Max von Oppenheim reasons aloud about empires, faith, and the railway as a weapon aimed at the heart of British power.
There is no score and no quiz. There are no villains and no heroes — only documents, voices, and the weight of what they meant. Choose your language, lower your gaze to the paper in your hands, and listen as the train carries you toward a future no one aboard can stop.
The first chapter of a planned five-part journey from Berlin to Baghdad.
