The circuit sweeps the Presqu'île: launch from Cordeliers, power across Place Bellecour, swing over the Saône on Pont Bonaparte, run the old-town quays, dive south to Perrache, leap the Rhône, thread Part-Dieu past its pencil tower, and skim the south edge of Parc de la Tête d'Or before the flag. Two rivers, three bridges, one chequered flag.
