Sands of Sovereignty is a grand-strategy RPG set in the 12th-century Levant. You are Sultan Saladin, ruler of the Ayyubid Sultanate, and the road to Jerusalem runs through every desert ridge between Cairo and the Holy Land.

Move armies across a real-time world map of dunes, oases, and walled cities. Forge alliances through diplomacy, declare holy war, recruit Ghulam cavalry, and besiege the Crusader strongholds of Acre and Jerusalem.

This is a living world: every AI lord acts on the same rules you do. Crusader patrols march on Damascus while you sleep. The Emir of Damascus may switch sides if war-weariness breaks his nerve. Empires rise and fall whether you intervene or not — your choices simply tip the balance.
