Water, sunlight and soil are your ore. Root-lines are your veins. Grow a forest before the Blight takes it.
You don't build a factory here. You build an ecosystem.
Subforest takes the deep, satisfying loop of a production-line builder and grows it out of living things. Springs, open sky and rich soil are the ore you tap. Root-lines snaking across the forest floor are your conveyors, carrying glowing cargo one cell at a time. Groves are your assemblers, combining water and light into living sap, sap and soil into seeds, seeds into saplings, and saplings into heartwood dense enough to anchor a whole biome.
Every choice has a shape on the ground. Sun Collectors fall silent when night comes, so you learn to buffer light before dusk. Belts back up visibly when a grove is starved, so you can read your whole economy at a glance. Plant a tree and the soil around it richens; the forest you grow literally changes the map you're building on.
And the Blight is always coming. Violet corruption creeps out of its nests, eating ground and machinery alike, and waves of fungal creatures follow it. Warden Blooms will hold the line — but only if your root-lines keep them fed with warding spores while the rest of your forest keeps growing. Push the nests back, cleanse the ground, and grow three Great Blooms at the Heartwood Core before the rot reaches it.
A quiet, gorgeous, deeply systemic builder about making something alive, and then defending it.
